It has been good to be home again. Joey always loved the story of the three little kittens who lost their mittens and then found them again. He's pretty sure they were oven mitts, because you can't get the pie out of the oven without them.
Brigham loves to do what Joseph does, and also loves putting his hands in things like shoes, socks, mittens, and puppets.
He likes to play with puppets.
After being home awhile we went out on our side porch (which we don't use that often) to get one of Joey's toys. Joey went out first, but stopped in his tracks because their was a huge web blocking his path. This is the black widow that was sitting in the middle of the web, which I got close enough to take a picture of, but made Ben kill when he got home.
Here is my little garden, which surprisingly stayed alive in the heat while we were gone. It is doing pretty well. We already have had some yellow squash, cucumbers, bell pepper, and tomatoes from it. We have quite a few ripe tomatoes, but we can't eat them fast enough because truthfully none of us likes tomatoes that much. I mostly planted them to make salsa. The three big bushes are not part of the garden really, but they do make it look impressive.

jealous. I am trying to figure how to grow edibles on our shaded balcony....
There are some cool container gardening ideas. Some are even self-watering. But not getting sunshine does make it harder. I also don't want to have to figure out what to do with huge buckets of soil when we eventually move.
You do have some land around your house right? Or is it taken care of by someone else and you don't get to pick what to do with it?
