Fifth of July- with the Nichols

We spent saturday with the Nichols. We visited Ben's Nana and Poppa where they were camping out in Felton. It was nice and cool and the boys had fun taking a walk to the river.

After visiting Nana and Poppa we drove down to the beach at Santa Cruz. It was so ridiculously crowded! It took so long to find a parking space I was tempted to tell Ben's parents to forget it and we'd just go home. We did find a place eventually and then took the boys down to the beach. It was Brigham's first time ever to the beach. He loved playing in the sand. I took him down to the water, but as soon as a wave touched him he turned around and walked back up on the beach. Brigham in the sand. This is a silly pose he does sometimes. I'm not sure if he's flying like Joey used to or what, but if you count to three he immediately does it. He's also started to do a few signs- eat, drink, all done, airplane, and if he sees a fly he starts jerking his arm like he's swatting it (he made that one up on his own).

Here is Joey playing with the sand. He went in the water a little while with Daddy and Grandpa, but agreed with Brigham that the sand was more fun. We stayed long enough to get covered in sand, then went home, exhausted from two long days in a row!
